Tamara is a life-long Conservative who will be a strong champion for Nanaimo-Ladysmith in the House of Commons.
As a practicing lawyer and Goldsmith Tamara is no stranger to hard work and a good fight. She’s worked hard to meet a payroll, held organizations accountable for infringing on the rights of individuals and cut red tape while leading a government agency. With a deep history of community advocacy and an enduring commitment to volunteerism, Tamara is running to represent our communities and to make Nanaimo-Ladysmith safer, more affordable and create more economic opportunities for everyone.
The public safety, addictions and mental health crisis we are facing in Nanaimo-Ladysmith is not just a set of statistics for Tamara and her neighbours – it is a pressing reality that demands immediate action. Tamara is committed to tackling these urgent issues head-on by working with all levels of government and the community to deliver the resources we need to restore safety and order while offering treatment and recovery —not more free hard drugs—to those who need it.
Tamara Kronis will champion a recovery-centred community in Nanaimo-Ladysmith.
As a business owner and mother, Tamara believes that smaller, more efficient government is key to fixing our economy and unlocking prosperity for future generations. She will work tirelessly to advance policies, like balancing the budget, that will bring down inflation to lower the burden on families, workers and seniors.
For 20 years, Tamara has been married to her husband Martin. Together they are the proud parents of two teenagers and a rescue pup named Austin.
In her spare time, you can find Tamara volunteering, sport shooting, playing bridge, bartending at the local legion, baking or enjoying a hike on a nearby trail.
